A UPS or uninterruptible
power supply provides a continuous power supply or a
battery backup. This device maintains continuous supply of electric
power to any connected equipment by supplying power from a separate
source when utility power is unavailable. A UPS is
different from an auxiliary power supply or a standby generator.
An auxiliary or a standby generator does not provide instant
protection from a momentary power interruption. However, with the UPS, it can be used to provide power that is uninterrupted to equipment for a specific amount of time based on load requirements until generator comes online or utility power is restored. It is typically
used to protect computers, telecommunication equipment
or other electrical equipment where an unexpected power disruption
could cause injuries, fatalities, serious business disruption
or data loss.
Here at Power Resources Group, LLC, we offer all
makes and models of UPS.
